this was kinda like a polaroid for the rollei. a digital polaroid if you will. just to test the light. in lieu of the shot with the rollei ... here's this.why ... the rollei makes me want to make photos of people in handcuffs. dunno why. really. dunno.
anyway ... i just thought the juxtaposition of her tattoo on her wrist and the handcuffs was interesting.
canon eos 1d m2. 24-70/2.8L at 2.8. 1/15th sec. 800 iso. conv to b/w in p.s. using channel mixing. add a bit of cont. adj levs.

I'm glad I'm not the only guy who uses his Mk II as a Polaroid for a film camera! Until now I was feeling like a cheater. Thanks for giving me a strange sense of validation, mate!

cheater ... never! we're just protecting the environment -- and our skin -- from caustic chemicals!
the thing about polaroids is that clients and models always want to see them. if their initial reaction is not good, then the rest of the shoot "can" get fucked up.
no worries about the validation. anytime!

i'm really diggin this photo. the light off of the handcuffs gives them a nice shiny and clean appearance contrasting with the noise in the rest of the picture...the noise doesn't seem to stand out as much in the handcuffs.
i can't wait to see what your rollei does. i've been thinking about getting a twin lens reflex camera...probably a seagull as i don't have the cash for a rollei. my current medium format cameras are a kodak brownie and a holga (with a polaroid back, which is sweet). i love medium format by the by. maybe more than digital, maybe i'm saying that because my image sensor on my 20d has a spot on it right now....

i can't wait to see what "wet film" looks like as well. should be interesting. i pushed it 2 stops to really bring up the grain.
i pumped the noise a bit too!
the spot can be taken care of! that's easy. i clean my sensors every 2 weeks. i use [link]
i don't give a rat's ass -- or even a mouse's -- what any else says about the brushes .. they're amazing!

there are 5 rolls that need to go to the lab. mostly delta 400 (+1 and +2) and apx 100 (+1).

...never pushed with rodinal, but needed a fix - something different from the more recent stuff all done in xtol...
