Yes, and I was raised by a neighbor who is a Thai Buddist, so your temple photos bring back some childhood memories.

Do you still live in SA? Some of my temple photos are on display at Rise Bakery (1604/Stone Oak area) as part of Fotoseptiembre.

Dude, I wish I knew where you got your starter tips from. I will admit, I got a new camera for the commercial holidays, and I've already been playing with it...but you are the first photographer I pulled up again when I wanted to see what settings were displayed on your shots. Good work

Thank you. I got my starter tips from the best and most difficult source: myself. I am 90% self-taught. I started by just messing around with my dad's old Canon SLR, and from there I just immersed myself in learning every technical thing about photography that I could. Once you learn what makes a proper exposure (I still say it's best to start with film before shooting digital, simply because it's more unforgiving), then you can move on to building your eye for composition. Shoot everything and then shoot it again. Analyze all your photos, especially the bad ones. Ask pros for critiques on your work. Read. Look. Always have a camera with you. Make it your life. That's my advice to you.
I started when I was 19, and I would say that I was nearly 30 before I started making images that I would now say are "decent". I'm never happy with anything I shoot. Even now, I will look at images I made only last year and declare them to be complete crap.
The day I stop learning about photography is the day I shelve my cameras.
If I can ever help, like with critiques or anything like that, let me know.
Best,
Darren

Detroit Red Wings 4-0 Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Red Army Marches.
(By the way, look at Osgood's helmet in some pictures if you can. Notice this: it's the same style and make as the helmets used by the 1980 Red Army. You know which one I mean.)

Thank you. I generally try to rely on my subjects to generate the impact of my photos instead of outrageous techniques, etc. Maybe that's what you're trying to put your finger on.
I am a documentarian, merely trying to find the right way to tell a story.
