this was kinda like a polaroid for the rollei. a digital polaroid if you will. just to test the light. in lieu of the shot with the rollei ... here's this.why ... the rollei makes me want to make photos of people in handcuffs. dunno why. really. dunno.
anyway ... i just thought the juxtaposition of her tattoo on her wrist and the handcuffs was interesting.
canon eos 1d m2. 24-70/2.8L at 2.8. 1/15th sec. 800 iso. conv to b/w in p.s. using channel mixing. add a bit of cont. adj levs.

What I really like about this photo is that it's not perfect.
If I were to try and take a picture of this, I would have to make sure the cuffs had exact symmetry and all that shit.
Which is why I wouldn't be able to get somethin' like this.

thanks mate. i like this photo but ... it was just a digital test for the light.
since my rollei is "unproven" to me in terms of shutter speed accuracy ... i've been exposure journaling all the info so i can see if it needs adjusment.
personally, i think this is going to more of the desired effect with film.
we'll see. the shutter speeds -- although they sound and look right -- may be completely off.

I really like the iconic quality of this. There's such great symbolism there. 
I can't help wishing for a bit more of oomph, but I know it's a personal preference. Or like a shock-pink background! Yeah.
