Description
OMG A DAILY DEVATION! I'm so flattered; thank you!
Award for most original title goes to...somebody else.
Pretty pleased with this overall. I originally drew AND painted the eyespots on the wing at the wrong angle (with the major axis parallel to the veins...eyespots are sneaky like that...), so I had to break out the titanium oxide (opaque white paint, that is) to fix it. You wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't pointed it out, right? Right?
Original is for sale. I'll get around to putting it in my Etsy store sooner or later...
(How d'ya like that strategically placed blade of grass? Pretty handy eh?)
Watercolor, 18" x 24", 2013.

Yeah...I made a mistake while I was sketching them and didn't realize it until after I started painting...but that's what white paint is for, LOL...

Haha glad you like it! When I started on the details of it it was looking horrible at first, but it turned out fairly well, I think. I've been out with my camera taking oodles of pics...because one can't have enough reference photos of twigs and leaves and organic bits.
