Vector Villains: Vermin — Description
Aw, rats! It's another MISCELLANEOUS MISCREANT! The Marvel Universe is infested with loads of bad guys, but while they are awful pests, they give our heroes something to exterminate. Yay, violence!⁣

This poor guy. Edward Whelan was a brilliant geneticist, but, like so mamy scientists in the Marvel Universe, he fell in with a bad crowd (maybe they need an after school program for scientists to keep them off the streets). The bad crowd was PRETTY bad. Namely former nazi geneticist, Arnim Zola, and son of a former nazi special agent, Baron Zemo. Oof.⁣

So of course this turned out bad for him. Zola subjected Edward to a genetic treatment that turned him into a rat/human hybrid. Fur, claws, enhanced agility and durability...and the mind of a cruel beast. Master Splinter he was not.⁣
⁣
Anyway, now calling him Vermin, Zola and Zemo sent him into battle against foes like Captain America, Spider-Man and others. And like actual rats, he's a real pain to get rid of.
