Vector Villains: Cheetah — Description

We said we were here to bring you more and more lame Marvel villains and we aim to please! Or disappoint? We aren't exactly sure at this point. Anyway, here's another one...

Meet Esteban Carracus...a petty larcenist, communism enthusiast, and horribly-written Mexican stereotype. When his best friend/fellow thief, Raoul, had his brain copied into a damaged Kree Sentry robot (killing the actual him in the process), he decided to recruit Esteban. Which it did by shooting weird space lasers at him. Weird apace lasers that mutated Esteban into, like, some kind of furry? Now covered in fur, claws, & a 1970s-tastic outfit, Esteban became The Cheetah. Because of all the cheetahs in Mexico. What's that? Oh, Skippy the Undead Intern would like to inform us that cheetahs are from Africa and not Mexico or anywhere else in the Americas, North or South. To be fair, this character appeared before Wikipedia or the Internet, so maybe we can excuse this glaringly stupid error. (Skippy seems to be shaking his zombie-died head "no").

Anyway, this space robot & cat man team, wanting to spread their anti-capitalist messages, cross the border into Texas and just start wrecking stuff up. This drew the attention of the Kree hero, Mar-Vell, better known as Captain Marvel (one of them, anyway). Cheetah and the Sentry actually kicked his alien butt, however, nearly killing him. Soon after they reached a crashed Kree vessel and free an imprisoned Ronan The Accuser, another, much less polite Kree. Ronan, while fighting a recovered Mar-Vell, accidentally blasted and deactivated the Sentry. This resulted in Cheetah losing his weird cat powers and reverting to plain old Esteban.

Esteban, still in the United States, decided he liked being Cheetah, and got a new costume, complete with fake fur, fangs and claws, and began his career as a supervillain. A very short-lived career as he, like over a dozen over bad guys, got slaughtered at The Bar With No Name by the serial killer, Scourge. This city did NOT have 9 lives.
