Part 2 of 12 for the Elements series!Here we have Fire Element. This one is based on my sister, for she is a firecracker and a ball of firey determination! I felt like giving her a powerful-type of characters, hence the muscular form. (Kinda resembles her in real life, since she's a gym junkie, lawl)
Also I'm aware the fire looks awfully cartoony, and I'm still not sure how I feel about that. But it'll have to stay that way until I learn how to art better...
About the Elements Project:
A good friend of mine (who always encourages me to do art) gave me an art challenge, and that was to draw 12 elements based on 12 of my friends. She's given me challenges before, but this one sparked my interest and motivated me to actually complete it (plus 12 is doable!)

What an excellent example of a fire element. I really like your art style and coloring, especially with hair and clothing because they look simply fantastic. I'll also agree that your fire looks a little cartoony, but that makes it stand out quite a bit. I'm curious about the gem in her forehead, considering your Earth element doesn't have one. I look forward to seeing the other 10 particularly ice if there is one because that would be my favorite one.

About the gem on her forehead, I didn't give a whole lot of thought to it since I'm alternating the designs for each element. I'd like to associate it with energy absorption or enhancement, whereas Earth element absorbs energy through her core (or her heart, since she's like Mother Earth and a nurturing type of character). Not sure if that makes sense, haha

You are quite welcome. I go to an art school, so they've kind of trained me to give detailed art critique.
It makes perfect sense to me. My elemental characters absorb energy the same way your Earth one does. I never considered having a single point where energy would be stored, partially because that would make it a major weak point to attack. Regardless it is an amazing idea.
With how creative and artistic you've been with Fire and Earth, I just know your Ice element will be amazing. You have the potential. I look forward to it.

Oh that's a good point, I didn't even think of having major weakness...probably because I didn't consider them in a battle XD But I guess all of them have weak points regardless anyway. But thanks! Glad you like the idea!
Ahh thankyou so much! I have a few elements that are styled differently (ie. male characters, plus one dragon) so I hope I don't disappoint, haha~
