Part 6 of 12 for the Elements Project! (Half way point, yeeeeeeah)Today we have Wind Element~ I wanted to give her a swift flowing sort of appearance, and keep the colours somewhat light. And the loads of hair is to represent the longer gusts of wind.
The background is questionable, mainly because in this scanned picture, you can't actually tell that it is, in fact, gold pencil XD It looks much better in person, hah!
Anyway, onto the next one!
About the Elements Project:
A good friend of mine (who always encourages me to do art) gave me an art challenge, and that was to draw 12 elements based on 12 of my friends. She's given me challenges before, but this one sparked my interest and motivated me to actually complete it (plus 12 is doable!)

Excellent job once again! I'm not certain what to say that I don't already. You are fantastic with hair and clothing. I can tell you have a lot of practice with colored pencil. The hair and the outfit are both long as wispy like one would expect the wind to be seen as. The jewelry pieces interest me, I wonder what kind of stone that is. My only critique would be that this piece lacks the same punch of artistic elements that the others do, particularly the background. Your other pieces in this series have parts that draw a lot of interest like a wall of fire or ice or electricity all over. This may be someone else's favorite, but I think it needs some exaggerated wind strokes or maybe even a tornado of some sort. It still looks fantastic, but it could do more to fit the wind theme.

Thanks, yet again! I have the most experience with pencil because I'm poor and lacking materials, so just doing with what's on hand XD hahaha
And I completely agree with your critique. After looking at it for a while, I do think a lot more detail could've been added, or possibly a different pose/angle altogether. But eh! Maybe one day she'll get a make-over~
