Making Tracks... — Description
75 Mile Beach, which runs up the eastern side of Fraser Island, is actually a gazetted highway. It's only the sand, so you'll only ever see 4WD vehicles (or the occasional light aircraft) on it.

On the third day of our tour, ~dvixen and I opted out of the walk the rest of the tour was doing (as I'd sprained my ankle a week before the wedding, and it was still pretty sore). So instead, we sat on the beach for an hour or so, and waited for the rest of the group to meet up with us.

Vehicles past us all the time, but there were times when there was just us there alone. It was a wonderful time
