- Lore Story:
In the year 2084, the city of Technovalley, along with Detroit, has become the world's leading manufacture city, when it comes to robots… Robots with human like emotions, and are given lawful rights, just like humans.
But there are still those humans, and robots, who believe that the other should have more rights than the other, and have therefore turned to a life of crime.
For those who can't accept humans and robots as equals, there is the Vector Cops. A special police force, with special experience in dealing with both criminal humans and robots. And their main asset, are the Power Rangers Vector Cops, bringing order to a high-tech world of machine related crimes.
(These Rangers, just like the S.P.D. Rangers, don't hide their identities from the public, since they are officers of the law.)

- Character Story:
Robecca "Rose" Roberts is the daughter of David Roberts, who owns the biggest robotics company in Technovalley, Roberts-Corps. But she lived a rather boring life, until she one day saw the Vector Cops Rangers in action, and saw that they were outmatched against a renegade robot. She then rushed in, and defended the Pink Ranger, who gave Rose a spare Vector Badge Morpher, which she used to morph into the Red Ranger.

After the robot was defeated, Rose handed back the Morpher to the Vector Cops's commander, Commander Surge. But instead, he told her that he was impressed with her determination to help and uphold the law, and said that the Vector Cops need more officers like her. So he offered her a position, as the team's official Red Ranger, and the other Rangers agreed to it.

Rose began working as the Red Ranger, but she never told her father about it, because he was very strict about her taking over Roberts-Corps one day, and she was tired of constantly arguing with him over that. She also got well along with most of the personnel of Vector Cops, except for the Vector Cops S.W.A.T. Rangers, the highly specialized special-mission team. She especially got into a lot of arguments with their leader, Matt Grandston, because the two use to date, until she decided to break it up, but never explained why. Matt feels that Rose doesn't deserve to be the Red Ranger, since she hadn't had any real academy training previous to being recruited on the street by Commander Surge.

Later, though, it turned out that Rose carried a dark secret… A secret that her dad never knew that she was aware of, but she had been, all this time. Rose is not a human… She's an android, which her father personally built, out of a sense of loneliness, since he didn't have any real family. But this secret came out in the open, as well as Rose's when Rose's face got scarred, revealing the circuitry underneath her skin.

Rose never told her dad that she overheard him talking about her android origin with their family's butler about telling her the truth, someday, because she got the impression that he just viewed her as a property, and not a real daughter. But after a deeper heart-to-heart talk, after the Rangers took care of one of the most wanted robot-criminals in Technovalley, her dad revealed, that two years before Rose was built, he lost his wife and only baby daughter… The real Robecca Roberts… In a car accident. He built Rose, to be everything his real daughter could have been, and that is why he has been trying so hard to keep her from dangerous careers, like being a Power Ranger… Not because she was an expensive property, but because she was everything he had lost.

After her dad pointed out, that she has, on the other hand, apparently become her own being, he has realised that just like a human, an android needs to be allowed to grow on their own, and form their own destinies… Which is what Rose has. So, he lets her continue her new role, as the Vector Cops Red Ranger, and she is now relieved, that she doesn't need to keep her true origins secret from anyone, anymore. And she feels proud now, to call herself a Roberts.

But what does the future hold for Rose The Android? And who is this mysterious girl, hanging with criminal robots, that keeps a constant watch on her? Only time will tell.
