Randell was a college student who was frequently late to his classes. This had been a problem for him all his life but with the greater responsibility of college life the problem was getting worse. Because of frequent tardiness, he did not understand what was happening in any of his classes. If he did not withdraw from his classes in the next two weeks, he would almost certainly fail all his classes. He wondered if he would even be able to do that in time.
While returning from a gym class he had missed completely, Randell received an invitation to one of the many parties hosted by the sorority. He had not paid any attention to the warnings. He had what he thought were bigger concerns on his mind. He decided to attend. He was late to the party but the girls at the sorority did not seem to mind.
They offered him some food and drink and offered him a tour of their sorority house. Randell had trouble concentrating on what was going on. He was too concerned with figuring out how he could be more punctual. It seemed to be a never ending loop.
The sorority girls could see things were not going quite right so they asked Randell what was wrong. He explained that he had a problem with being late just like being late to the party. One of the girls introduced herself as Evelyn and said she could help him with his punctuality.
"How long will it take?" asked Randell as he rubbed his hand through his hair.
"Ironically learning to do things quicker takes time,' said Evelyn. "I have given you a new set of classes that should be easier for you. Just come back in a week and tell us how you did."
Randell took his new schedule. He did not even think about asking how such changes could be made by another student ... and so quickly. He was too concerned with learning how to be on time. He thanked them for their help and returned to his dorm room.
There were no noticeable changes until Monday. When Randell looked in the mirror, he noticed that his hair had grown longer. He also noticed his chin was smooth, even to the touch, despite not having shaved that day or the night before. It did not concern him very much. He could always get a haircut later.
Randell looked at his schedule and saw he had an English class. He had actually woken up early enough to get there on time. The teacher talked about some of the great literature of the past. At first Randell found himself distracted by his hair. Then he realized he could put his hair in a ponytail and it did not bother him any more.
Next came a math class. It did not take long for him to get there. His breasts felt sensitive while class was going on. He tried to ignore it but it was difficult for him to do. He would have to work on it later. At least he knew what his homework was.
When class was done, he had lunch and then went back to his dorm to do his homework. It was good to get it out of the way even though he had two whole days to do it. It was as if he had been attending those classes all year and had always been on time. That night he did some extra reading to make sure he stayed on pace.
