Name: MINADUKI
She is a rain woman.
Wherever she goes, nine times out of ten, it rains.
Therefore, she is often not invited to outdoor parties and festivals.
However, she doesn't feel ashamed of being called a rain woman.
On the contrary, she takes pride in it.
Lately, she has gained the affection of a crow.
Wherever she goes, the crow follows.
Wherever the June princess goes, there are rain clouds and a crow...
It may not be long before she gets a second nickname.
六月姫/六月王国
名は、水無月
彼女は雨女。
彼女が赴く処、十に九は雨に濡らされる。
故に彼女は、野外での宴や祭りに招待されないことも度々。
しかし彼女は、自分が雨女と囁かれることに負い目はない。
むしろ誇りに思っています。
最近、そんな彼女は、１羽のカラスに懐かれている。
彼女行くところ、どこにでも着いてくる。
六月姫の行く先に、雨雲とカラスあり…。
彼女にふたつめの通り名がつくのも、そう遠くないかもしれない。

In Japan, if it always rains when a person is around, they are called a "rain man" or "rain woman" (AME OTOKO/AME ONNA). Conversely, someone who brings clear weather is called a "clear weather man" or "clear weather woman" (HARE OTOKO/HARE ONNA).

When using rain as a theme, it tends to result in dark and melancholic imagery, doesn’t it?
That’s why I wanted to create something with a brighter, more positive feel.
So, it’s wonderful that you like rain
In Japan, we have a season called "tsuyu," where it rains continuously, and it takes place in June.
I incorporated that into her character and the background of the piece.

Ah yes, rainy season. I have never been to Japan in June 🤔I did manage to get into some heavy rain in September on two trips though. It does come down quite heavily, no comparison to our rainy days. But somehow those were good memories for me too
