The invasion of Januaryland by Marchland.
The Anti-Dynasty Army of Marchland struck down a messenger from the Land of January during negotiations and proceeded to invade the capital of the January dynasty.
This reckless act incited the citizens of January to rise up.
What began as a movement of only a few dozen quickly grew as people from across the land joined the cause.
Within days, the uprising swelled to several thousand.
“The Land of January is no more than flies without wings,”
boasted the Anti-Dynasty strategists.
However, they soon found themselves panicking in the face of an unexpectedly fierce counterattack by the citizens.
The irony was stark.
Shaken by the intensity of the rebellion, The Anti-Dynasty Army of Marchland called for reinforcements.
The conflict escalated rapidly, leading to an extraordinary and brutal battle.
The February Dynasty's army intervened in the conflict, finally forcing the Anti-March Dynasty forces to retreat.
However, this battle became one of the most brutal and gruesome in history.
“This senseless war will only bring suffering to the people of this region,”
declared Princess Kisaragi of the February Dynasty, as she presented a ceasefire treaty.
The Anti-Dynasty government demanded the handover of the masterminds behind the conflict as a condition for peace,
fearing further retaliation from the citizens of January.
Even if a treaty were signed, their ambitions would eventually reduce it to mere scraps of paper.
Princess Kisaragi, resolute in her stance, vowed not to be the one to oversee the final collapse of the Winter Forces.
“There must be a way… We cannot give up,” she thought.
A Harmonious World.
反三月王朝政権の一月国侵攻。
三月の反王朝軍は
交渉に赴いた一月の使者を切り捨て、一月王朝の都に侵攻した。
この暴挙に決起した一月の民。
発端は数十人であったが
やがて、各地から決起した民が集結し、僅か数日で数千人へと拡大していった。
”一月の国など、羽のないハエの如し”
と豪語していた反王朝軍の参謀たちは、思わぬ強烈な民たちの反撃に焦りだす。
皮肉なものだ。
その反撃に動揺した反三月王朝軍は、援軍を要請。
戦いは拡大し、やがて凄絶な闘いへとなっていく。
二月王朝軍がこの戦いに介入し、反三月王朝軍はようやく撤退するが、この戦いは、史上最も残虐で凄惨な戦いとなったのだった。
”こんな無益な争いは、この地域の民たちの災いになるだけ”
二月王朝の如月姫は、停戦の条約を提示した。
反三月王朝政府は、この争いの首謀者の引き渡しを、停戦の条件として要求する。
一月の民の反撃を恐れたのだった。
いずれ条約が結ばれても、彼らの野心はこれを紙くずにするだろう。
如月姫は、崩壊する冬の勢力圏の幕引き役だけは引き受けないと、強く決意する。
”何か策はあるはず…あきらめてはだめだ”と…
