History: The Emocinis family had always wanted a boy. From the get go, they had a vision of raising a young huntsmen who would be a hero. They got their wish – sort of. Born to them was a set of twins, Dismas and Dima – a boy and a girl. Dismas was always favored then – they had everything planned for him, gave him whatever he wanted. He did well, possessing a great talent and all the help he could want. Private tutors, top of the line weaponry, and the love and adoration of his mother and father – these fueled him. He was great – how could he not be, with all the money and effort that went into making him so? He went through combat school – though only because he insisted to stay with Dima – and passed easily enough. He had many friends, however superficial some may have been (many envied him). Teachers loved him. Scholarships fell in to give him money – it seemed the world paved the way for his greatness. He expected success and found it handed to him on a silver platter. It was no trouble for him to gain entrance to Beacon Academy and find his way onto Team RDDT.
Personality: Dismas is someone who doesn’t doubt himself. He’s confident and stubborn – to challenge him is to be wrong. The favor of his parents and a natural talent have done nothing but reinforced this view. These two things have also made him somewhat of a slacker – not only are things naturally easy for him, others make them even easier to appease him (mostly his parents). He avoids effort and seeks out the path of least resistance in every endeavor – if not abandoning it entirely. He marvels at himself, leading to him often taking control of any social interactions and directing them toward himself and his accomplishments. He’s a simplistic person who seeks fun and comfort in his life, not concerning himself with thoughts beyond that. He can be dense, often not picking up on more subtle cues in others. As an example, he’s actually quite fond of his sister, despite her barely hidden feelings of him. That said, he’s normally pretty amiable, often being loud, happy, and excitable. Why wouldn’t he be? Life is easy for him; life is enjoyable.
Strength: Dismas keeps himself in a peak physical condition. His natural abilities manifest in remarkable reflexes, great kinesthesia, and a quick mind.
Weakness: His density and vanity are both major flaws. He’s also lazy and somewhat apathetic, which fosters a level of ignorance and foolishness. He can also be very rash.
Semblance: Dismas is about greatness - the feel-good rush of being the best you can be. His semblance reflects this. Buffing himself or others, he boosts euphoria, stamina, speed, and strength. Those under its effects feel great, thinking more positively and clearly. Their body feels no pain, tires out slower, moves quicker, and hits harder. However, there’s a price – a “crash.” When this hits, they’re generally exhausted. The body isn’t meant to operate in an amped up state. The longer they were under its effect, the worst the damage and exhaustion. It cannot be applied to more than one person at a time.
WEAPON
Name: Euphoric Thermal
Primary Form: His weapon is a twin-sided fire staff. It's about as tall as he is, and has small triangular tips on each end of the staff. Lining the side of the staff for about a foot or so are small holes that spew fire, facing in opposite directions on either side of the weapon. As Dismas spins the staff, the nozzles spew fire in a similar style to jet engines, allowing the staff to spin even faster.
Secondary Form: The staff breaks into three sections, which reveals leather straps attached to each part. Dismas holds the central section as he spins the two parts around.
Tertiary Form: The arrow shaped spearheads could be fired out like a ballistic knife to give a ranged attack. Spares would be held in the satchel on his right leg and would adorn his outfit like charms.
History: The weapon was inspired by his love fire and a performance he saw at a nice restaurant his parent took him to once. It was built by the best weapon engineers they could get, though he helped in its design.
Style: His fighting style is very dramatic and flamboyant, so there should be a lot of spinning, jumping, and theatrics while he fights.
Trivia: His fighting style is inspired by fire dancing . Emocinis means affective - "of, caused by, or expressing emotion or feeling; emotional” for their semblances. Dismas means “sunset.” A thermal is a warm upward current of air.
