Interview with Roxette - Part One — Description

Roxette, the brilliant, young prosecutor for the city’s District Attorney’s Office, agreed to allow me to interview her in her home. When I arrived, she met me at the door and led me to her spacious living room.

ThePHantom52: “Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy schedule to talk with me.”

Roxette: “It’s my pleasure.”

ThePHantom52: “This is such a beautiful house! I had no idea that prosecuting attorneys made so much money. I’m in the wrong line of work.”

Roxette: “Oh…I could never afford a house like this on my salary! My grandfather built it in the 1950’s. When he died, my parents moved in and lived here until 2015. My mother developed a circulatory condition, and couldn’t take the cold, northern winters anymore. My parents moved to Florida and asked me if I wanted to live here. I jumped at the chance! I was born in this house. It’s my home!”

ThePHantom52: “Well, it is certainly a wonderful place to live.”

Roxette: “It really is. I’m so sorry. Where are my manners? Would you like something to drink before we begin?”

ThePhantom52: “No, thank you. I’m fine.”

Roxette: “Alright then. I’m ready whenever you are.”

ThePHantom52: “Before we begin, are there any topics that are off-limits?”

Roxette: “I have no secrets! Of course, I’m sure you know that I can’t talk about any cases I’m currently working on, but other than that, anything is fair game.”

ThePHantom52: “Excellent! Let’s begin.”
