Fakemon: Mythoa Starters — Description

i've taken a crack at making my own set of Fakemon starters multiple times throughout the years. And here I'm doing it again, reworking some ideas I've had for a while but also mixed with new ones. I'm pretty happy with them.
I've also long had an idea for my own Fakemon region, so I'm going to indulge in this pretend Pokemon region of my imagination and flesh it out. And what's a better place to start than the starters.

In my hypothetical Pokemon Game, you would be a kid who just came of the age where you're finally allowed to own your first pokemon and explore the region (in typical Pokemon fashion.) It would take place in the region of Mythoa, a mysterious land which was once believed to be a myth - but now is an up and coming region, full of potential.

For your starter Pokemon you have been offered a rare opportunity - to help the Professor of this region with raising and training one of these once extinct Pokemon!

You see there used to be several "Guardian" species of Pokemon that inhabited and protected Mythoa. They were incredibly formidable and fought against the humans attempting to explore the new region. In order for humans to settle on Mythoa, all of these Guardian species were eradicated.

But with the technology developed for restoring fossil Pokemon, it was possible for the Professor to resurrect at least three of these lost Guardians. Unfortunately in their eagerness to restore them, they didn't stop to consider how difficult raising three of them at once would be. They all refuse to stay in their Pokeballs and are generally tough to handle in their own ways.

It might be dangerous to give one of these to a new trainer, which is why the Professor will be closely monitoring you're progress. But they don't seem worried. After all, the bond between a trainer and their first Pokemon is one of the strongest, and might be enough to get them under control. Hopefully.

The water starter is based mostly on the dumbo octopus. Its body is made up almost entirely of congealed water, which allows it to completely disappear when its in water. It's quite skittish, so expect it to try hiding in any body of water it finds. Luckily its natural sense of curiosity will eventually lead it back up to peak above the surface. If you touch this Pokemon by surprise, it will expand its body to twice its size in an attempt to scare off an assumed predator.

The fire starter is pretty obviously based on scorpions. It always has a blank expression and rarely makes any sound to indicate its emotions. This makes it tough to figure out what it wants at any given moment, and it doesn't help that it may shoot embers at you if you get too close to it and it isn't in a good mood. At least it doesn't try to run away... but this Pokemon also doesn't seem to move at all most of the time. It may be necessary to carry it if you want to go anywhere with it, make sure to have fire-proof gear on hand.

The grass starter is a young, little goat. It has a determined and stubborn disposition, fighting against anyone who stands in their way. It will even pick fights with inanimate objects, kicking and ramming its stubby horns into them. It seems to have a bone to pick with metal and man-made objects most often. Keep away from cars.

But as difficult as these three can be, with proper care and training, they can become some of the strongest Pokemon out there.
