Nixie — Description
Good old näkki! Or nixie, nix, näcken, nykk, so on and so on. A dangerous creature all around, the näkki prefers shady inland waters with lots of vegetation. It's an ambush predator that isn't afraid to go for humans, and will often pull them underwater in deep water. Humanoid in form, it can walk on land and is extremely aggressive about its territory. Though not sapient, it's drawn to music, especially the sound of the violin. Due to the dangers they pose on humans, näkki have been hunted to near extinction and only inhabit sparsely populated areas.

My take on the common malicious water creature; I had a dream as a child of a wolf's face staring at me from a river as I looked down on my reflection and that serves as the main inspiration. I'm not surprised why they're portrayed as humanoids with amphibian features but I wanted to try something unique!
