Description This trick in particular is one I learned in art school from one of my professors.  He suggested using Windex to clean ink from brushes.  It worked so well with ink, I thought it'd be worth a shot with my other brushes as well, that I use for all sorts of craft and cosplay projects.  It worked like a dream!  I've even had luck doing this on brushes with dry or caked on paint.  It may take a few repeat tries, but the Windex works without fail.

After cleaning the brushes with Windex, I usually follow up with some kind of regular soap.  A dish clear like Dawn works great to strip out any other gunk or paint residue that may be stuck in the brush, but regular liquid hand soap works just as well.
