Description
I created this mixed media piece for the Fall Horror Challenge. This is one of my worst nightmares, and I know that I am definitely not alone in that!

I individually clipped words relating to death out of newspapers, magazines, and even nutrition labels in order to collect the materials for the focal point of this piece. After I drew my desired tombstone shape, I glued the words over it in a way that not only covered the outline, but also crept into the image to resemble moss. Once I was finished, I changed the color scheme digitally in order to achieve a crisp black and white.
