Description
I took this photo while working on a larger piece for the Fall Horror Challenge, and I immediately felt compelled to share it as a solo submission. I was gathering words related to death (which I had cut out from old magazines), and decided to store them in the nearest empty container--which happened to be an old pill bottle. It felt like fate, because it plays into the theme of one of my worst nightmares--meeting death through either my own struggles with mental illness, or through a familial thread of physical illnesses. The distorted reflections of the word clippings also cast eerie shadows, and I feel that I find something new within them each time that I look.
