Backstory:
Bear Fists was once known for his fighting skills in various arenas around Skylands. He had fans of all ages and loved putting on a show, but make no mistake; he was an excellent fighter! He had been offered the chance to become a Skylander before but politely declined, too invested in his current career.

After traveling to a distant area in Skylands, he wanted to explore before his next match would begin. That was when a fire viper showed up, and began trying to cook and eat civilians! Bear Fists couldn't stand for that, and leapt into action immediately. He began punching the beast, his powerful fists actually disturbing the viper. It flew off with the bear still on top of it, heading for another place nearby.

Bear Fists glanced back, seeing that those who got hurt were getting tended to, and narrowed his eyebrows at the viper. When it landed in a forest, his eyes grew wide. A forest, that's incredibly flammable! Using his fists, he swung a flurry of punches, but the fire viper kept thrashing. Seeing a bunch of helpless florabbits fleeing the area, he felt more motivated than before to try to save the forest; people lived here! That was when the beast reared up and let out a hot stream of fire into the trees.

Suddenly there was a burst of magical leaves, but it didn't do much to the fire. Bear Fists spotted one of the florabbits who hadn't run and seemed to understand, even from a distance. He threw himself off of the beast and slammed his fist onto the ground, causing rocks in a fist shape to burst from the earth and punched it into the fire to cover the active flames. The florabbit seemed to understand and went after the fire viper. Bear Fists continued to smash his fists into the ground, summoning more and more fist shaped rocks which got sent into the fire. The solid masses covered and suffocated the flames, until it was safe. When Bear Fists turned to check on the florabbit, both he and the fire viper were gone!

Shortly after, the Skylanders arrived and the remaining florabbits excitedly told the Skylanders about the bravery of the bear. Modestly, Bear Fists informed that there was a florabbit who also helped, but couldn't find him. Until he showed up, and Bear Fists stepped over to him and gave him a good, firm handshake!

The Skylanders congratulated both of them, and when asked why an arena fighter got involved with a fire viper, Bear Fists grinned proudly and stated, “I couldn't let others get hurt, someone had to do something!” While he had declined the offer in the past, he now saw the value in being a Skylander. Others could replace him in the arena, but only so many become a Skylander, so he accepted this time.
