I see what this is about. I completely see what this is about now.While a gonzo superhero-villain threeway would be fun (and I know I am going to get a 'you are stupid for saying no' comment), I am feeling Jess doesn't care having me all to herself. In fact, what she cares about more is inserting herself as gatekeeper and top girl around here, sort of becoming a Hunter to my personal life, where Hunter is my Hunter in my business life (and that is not changing because no one is as great at keeping the place working as her). The friends she sent to the island are the ones she wouldn't mind being in her inner circle.
I have to admit, top girl in my personal life is an open position right now, and she is making a play for that. She wants to snuggle into that spot, have a safe place from James protected by my power and her hand-picked cadre of friends, and find that happy place in life. She ran Hunter off the road back in Stranded series 1, so she has some major apologizing and redemption to go to even get close to what she wants. I will let those two work it out, and Hunter said she will deal with this so I trust her.
Is Jess going about this the wrong way? Completely. She is playing the boardroom game on us, when all I really want is a friend. Do I fault her? No, I don't, this is who she is, a cute, evil, destructive, and often hilarious kitten. And James is so evil in comparison to what she is up to I actually understand her plight.

Thanks. I play a long game and there needs to be more than power, safety, and surface level attraction to a relationship. She needs to right her wrongs first. And also, things need to work out. Compatibility and being happy are very important.
But she is funny and makes readers laugh. That is a plus. :P
It is interesting to work out this whole plot and why everyone came here. Perhaps she felt some remorse for the first trip here and what she did to Hunter. Maybe she has had time to think. Spend enough time working for James and you wonder what you want from your life.
