Nu-Class Attack Shuttle - Call-Outs — Description

I've always been a big fan of the Nu-class Attack Shuttle. As I examine this design, it looks like the entire cockpit module may be hinged to rotate up and down, similar to the Lambda-class shuttle. But I can't recall ever having seen this feature in action. For that matter, this rotating feature is only very subtly evident on the Lambda-class. For that matter, I'm not sure what the point of it would be. I mean, you could argue that it might be helpful to improve visibility when landing, but it sort of seems like an extra camera or two would be a better (and infinitely simpler) way to improve visibility. Do any of you know anything more about this feature, and if it is ever explained offscreen or demonstrated on-screen?
