DF.12 Laser/Com Turret - Callouts — Description

The DF.12 Com Turret is an advanced laser turret battery manufactured by Golan Arms. It is similar to the DF.9 Laser Turret that was deployed on the ice planet Hoth against Imperial Forces. But unlike the DF.9, the DF.12 is a twin-barrel laser. It is designed with the ability to pivot sharply upward to engage enemy aircraft, and to tip downward to engage surface targets. It is also designed with an advanced com dish which is mounted at the end of a pivoting outrigger.
The DF.12 is perhaps most famously seen at Black Spire Outpost on the planet of Batuu, where it was deployed by the Resistance as a defensive measure to protect its fighter craft from First Order Forces.
After the fall of the First Order, Black Spire Outpost obtained and deployed 15 additions DF units around the perimeter of BSO to form a formidable defensive network.
