Description
Here I just used the same pattern/graphic as in my"Lucid Light Field" wallpaper,
But I used Ubuntus default WP from 10.04
(also not much different than 10.10) for the background. lol
Then just added the text/logo and fiddled about with it.
I really like the 10.04 default WP,
and have found myself using it a few times, only to change it again not long after because (as beautiful as it is)
i feel there's not enough to keep my wacky mind busy. lol
Hence, why I did this,~ So I would want to use Ubuntus default WP more. lol
Hope you like it.
even though it's similar to my last one and not exactly "new"..but kinda.. . lol

I really like it dude, many improvements and the colour palette has been used really well.
If I may take the liberty, I reckon that the ubuntu logo looks just a little tacky, although the effect you've used works well on the "ubuntu" text. Maybe just tone down the strength for the logo part of the image?

Yeah it is "my" creation.. kinda. lol
I simply took the default Lucid Lynx Wallpaper,
added the "pattern" to it and put the Ubuntu logo/text on it.
So, it's not completely original or anything,
but yeah.. I stuck it all together. lol
