This thing is actually coming along. I'm finally working on the Python code to generate the special effects I have in mind. The first step is to diff two images to create a mask. This is not what I'll use - but I liked the rather bizarrre look of it and thought I'd post it.Related content

Thanks so much! I basically generated two versions of the image, one with a plaster-like texture and another more like skin - then mathematically subtracted the difference (a bit computer programming on my part). The rest of the image, being the same, came out as black. (I later used something like this to created the, barely noticeable, "skinning" effect.)
