Backstory: Born in a litter with Shrikefrost, his father Eaglemask died shortly after in a thunderstorm, which resulted in his uncle Buzzardear raising him and his brother instead.
Piperlight and his brother's birth came along with a prophecy, that eventually one of them would become evil, and the other would kill them to save everyone.
From a young age, everyone in RiverClan knew about this prophecy, and pointed fingers to Shrikekit to be the one that would become evil, and Piperlight would be the one to save them.
Due to this, Piperlight has been treated with the most intense expectations any cat could ever bear. While they treated him with respect, every cat acted more like he was some sort of alien, a concept, rather than someone with actual feelings.
When Piperlight did something wrong, it was as if he had comitted sacrilege, and Buzzardear would treat him as if he weren't even alive.
Piperlight keeps to himself, and has taken on the role that he was given by his clan mates; an unnatural being, one that you can't communicate with, something that's on a different level than them.
Note: Piperlight is referred to as "it" by his clan mates in a dehumanizing way, but their behaviors are wrong!! It/its pronouns are perfectly valid if they're something you want for yourself!
