What REALLY Happened... — Description
*before you ask, no Simba had not yet realised that his mane is on fire in the second panel*

Lol even though it's pretty much just a little joke, i put it under my 'Literal Lion King Series' because it does take a different perspective on a particular Lion King scene, obviously being the fight scene.
i like to think that The Lion King is like a re-told legend of Simba. And with nearly every great legend comes great exaggeration XD

What's it about?
Well, this one addresses two things, smoke inhalation and catching on fire. Did anyone else wonder about this, or do i over-analyse things too much?
First of all, the smoke inhalation. Pride Rock is on fire! Huge flames are billowing around it, Simba and Scar are right at the top. At the peak of the flames, that's where smoke comes out, and there is burning ash and shrapnel flying around everywhere. I know it's there for dramatic effect and symbolism, but the characters act like it's not even there, except when Scar throws the ash in Simba's face. Smoke inhalation is what kills most people in fires, they either faint; allowing the flames to then burn them, or they suffocate before the fire even reaches them. I made Scar perish in this because well, he's old. His lungs wouldn't be as healthy as they used to be, and it is mostly the elderly who succumb to smoke inhalation first.
Secondly, catching on fire. It doesn't take a genius to know that Lions obviously don't use shampoo and/or conditioner, so their manes are basically just lumps of dry hair. Hair is already easy enough to light on fire, but when it's dry, it's even easier. With the burning ash flying around, it only takes one to start a fire.
