Chapter 4: Thoughts

The next hour, there was another explosion and dip was flying everywhere. And once again, toons had to run for their safety and some were unlucky. Luckily, they didn’t die, but suffered horrible injuries.

Bendy and Darla went to visit the other toons at the hospital who got caught in the explosion. Many were Disney or from old times, when cartoons were black and white. They passed every room before they saw Bailey with Mary with him. Mary had her hand on the male angel’s back.

Looking at him, someone obviously got hit.

“Bailey?” Bendy asked.

The angel looked up at the demon he considered his best friend. “Oh. Hey, Bendy.”

“What happened?”

“My father. He got hit with the dip.”

Bendy and Darla gasped. Daniel, one of the strongest angels in the Joey Drew Studio Heavens, got hit?

“Another bomb?” Bailey asked. “Why? Why? Why are we being terrorized? What did we do?”

Mary hugged her boyfriend to console him from these feelings of negativity.

Bendy looked down. He began to think about what has happened. Two dip bombs, Sophia borderline killed in the hospital, and it all happened one week after the incident that night.

Why is this happening? Bendy asked silently.

Angelina, the JDS toon angel, walked out with a sad look. Bailey looked up to his mother with pleading eyes. Angelina crouched down and rubbed her son’s head.

“Don’t worry, your father’s okay,” she said.

Bailey sighed with relief.

“For the meantime, we’ll go to my home. For now, we need to stay together because who knows what’s coming next? Since ToonTown is being attacked by terrorists and magical warriors from Seattle and other places are appearing, we need to be ready and safe.”

Bailey nodded and got off the chair, followed by Mary.

Bendy and Darla followed the angels out of the hospital and since the city has been recently bombed, Darla and Bendy went to hide near Angelina.

The tall angel used her wings to make sure the smaller toons are safe and remained vigilant while walking. Then turned around and picked up the two demons before flying upwards, towards the toony clouds.

Up in the clouds, there were houses. Angelina flew around, looking for her own house. It took a few minutes and when she found it, she landed in the front door and used a key to open the door, letting the small toons go in before she followed.

Bendy and Darla were amazed by how pretty this house looked. There were even pictures that had Daniel fighting Alastor, Bendy’s father. Bendy felt dark flashbacks when he saw his father in the pictures, but is glad he is away from that monster.

Bailey and Mary sat down on the couch and turned on the TV, revealing the news. Angelina was walking to the kitchen, passing the smaller toons.

“For now, I’ll go make some snacks for us to eat,” she said. “Does anyone like some cookies?”

“Me!” Bendy called.

“Me too!” Darla called along.

“Alright.”

As the taller angel went to bake, the smaller toons watched the news.

“Reports say that after the bomb, magical girls and boys from the ages 13 to 18 are appearing and are investigating the area. We are not sure why, but it was claimed that it was connected to the incident that happened a week ago in that world.”

Bendy looked at the TV and saw three familiar girls.

Seraphina, Aileen, and Nisha.

Looking at them made the toons know that this really is a terrorist attack from someone or something from their world.

Thinking about it, Bendy felt even more afraid. These magical girls on the loose meant something destructive will happen. And not to mention that these three are Sophia’s friends, Seraphina specifically being the closest to her. He had that feeling that they know about that time at the hospital and they suspect Seattle Salvation Church is behind this.

Bendy went lost in thoughts, thinking about what the others are doing at home.

Time has passed and the sweet smell of freshly baked cookies filled the air. Bendy looked up and his thoughts dispersed. Darla was looking with that eager to go eat the cookies.

Angelina took out the cookies from the oven and placed it on the kitchen island

“Does anyone want cookies?”

“Me!” Bendy called and rushed to get some cookies.

Darla followed, causing the angels to laugh and come after the two demons who just loves cookies.

After the toons got there cookies, they marveled at the taste of them, especially Bendy and Darla.

“This is the most tastiest cookies I have ever had!” Darla said. “Does your mother own a bakery, Bailey?”

“She works there,” Bailey replied. “But she is just one of the bakers.”

“Can’t wait to go there!” Darla said.

Bailey giggled at the demoness’s response.

Later...

It’s been a long time and the cookies were finished. They sat on the couch, talking about moments in their lifetimes, serious or silly. Angelina went out to get some groceries to feed her friends and family. Meanwhile, the toons were already hearing Bailey’s story about a prank.

“And then,” Bailey said, “while I was making pie, Bendy was sneaking up on me and I knew that. And when he was close, I quickly turned around and slammed the pie in his face!”

The smaller JDS toons laughed at that.

“I wish I had a camera at that time because that was hilarious!” Bailey said through laughs. “Mary, sweetheart. You should’ve seen his face. It was so funny!”

The little angel laughed. “Oh, it must have been so funny!”

Bendy and Darla laughed as well. They couldn’t forget that time when the toons were pranking each other around the studio. Some got them in trouble, some were just the day of pure pranking. And it was fun. Some ended in embarrassment, some with no one winning.

“Golly, we should continue that tradition again,” Bailey said.

“We should,” Bendy replied. “If our darlings are okay with it.”

“I’m okay with it!” Darla said. “I’m used to the pranks of you boys.”

“Uhhh, m-maybe,” Mary stuttered.

“Awww,” Bailey said and hugged his girlfriend. “You know I’d never hurt you, sweetie.”

“I know you wouldn’t,” Mary replied, blushing, placing her hand on his arm.

“Hey, Bends! You’re the last one to talk in this group. Why don’t you tell us what you want to talk about? Anything on your mind.”

Bendy felt a wave of unease hit him. He wanted to tell his thoughts, but they’re still the same one and... well... They’re his friends. They wouldn’t be annoyed, right?

“Well,” he said. “I’ve been thinking the same thing.”

“Protecting Sophia and everyone you love?” Bailey asked.

Bendy nodded. “Not only that, I still remember those times she transformed into her amethyst magical girl form to protect me from destructors. And, well... I’ve been thinking about this for a while now.”

“Yes?”

“Is there a way to turn me into a gemstone warrior? Or an elemental warrior? Or just a magical boy or man? Or toon? Or maybe a technical warrior? Like Sophia and the others? I’ve been feeling a little paranoid about things since Sophia and her friends got shot and... well... all these scary news. I kinda want to return the favor for her, ya know? And fight those who wants her and all of you dead and stuff, like that mad scientist kid who tried to inject her with poison and the church who is bullying her endlessly.”

Bailey sighed. “I wish I could say there is a way, but I have no answers. It would be quite a sight to see you like those kids, but if you wanna know, best if you ask their teachers. But I personally think you already got every power you need.”

“Huh?”

“You can turn into monsters! Monsters that can eat a human whole. No offense.”

“None taken.”

“And that power should be enough to make you a true warrior. But I’m just saying. If you wanna become a warrior like Sophia, go for it. But you know you gotta deal with a lot, right?”

“I know. And I’m willing to risk my life for you all. For everyone I love.”

Darla smiles and nuzzled him. “You sound like a warrior already.”

Bailey giggled. “I’m personally a warrior myself, since I remember trying to fight you in my cartoon, but I guess we’re both created to be warriors.”

Bendy chuckled. “Yep.”

“And also. I know Sophia can recover! I know that stupid girl decided to prolong her suffering, but I know that’s nothing. Two gunshots are worse. Probably not as worse than getting poisoned or eaten by destructors.”

Bendy nodded. “Okay.”

Darla hugged him on the side. “If you ever thought about those horrible thoughts, we’re here for a talk, honey.”

“Thanks, darling.”

“Anywho, serious talk aside. Who wants some cake?”

“Cake?” Darla looked at Bailey with sparkles in her eyes.

Bendy giggled from that adorable reaction. Mary did the same.

“Do you like cake that much?” the female angel asked.

“I just love pastries!” Darla replied, blushing a bit.

“Well, I still have enough cake for all of you! Want some?”

The other toons came by and helped to get the cake on the table and got their plates, going to get slices

A battle cry filled the air along with the sound of metal clanging and splatters of blood everywhere. Ellen Kelly along with the alien, dubbed Palette, were around an omega destructor, fighting this creature with all their artistic might.

Ellen swiped her pen and it created a rainbow wave, sending it straight towards the eyes of the destructor and blinding it when it.

“Palette!” Ellen called. “Your turn!”

“Got it!” Palette called and used her feather quill to launch a strong beam of electricity towards the destructor and it was destroyed quickly, exploding into nothing but black clouds and disappeared.

The two magical girls panted heavily before they rushed to save anyone caught by its cocoon-like trap.

One swipe of their pens and they cut upon the cocoons, freeing everyone inside. They led the people to a nearby fire escape and let them go down carefully. Ellen helped bring the end of the stairway down by creating magical stairs so people can land on the ground safely.

After they’re all on the floor, Ellen returned to the rooftop with Palette.

The light cyan alien sighed. “So. We’re done?”

Ellen shrugged. “I guess. How about we go eat some ice cream for the meantime?”

“Yes!”

Then the two girls then jumped off the rooftop they’re on. Ellen sprouted her wings while she was in the air and flew to the direction where the ice cream shop is. That was until Palette released a scream.

Ellen looked down and saw that she was falling down on her back. Ellen rushed forth and caught the alien on time, landing safely on her feet.

“What happened?” Ellen asked.

Before Palette can speak, the two girls heard a voice.

“Oh, great. Saved by the pathetic rainbow hair.”

Ellen gasped when she heard that voice and turned to see the one and only Melissa Norman. She gave her a really disapproving look like she did something wrong.

Ellen glared at the human girl before her with hatred.

“What do you want?” she asked.

“Oh, nothing. Just to dispose of any reminders of that Pride and abomination nonsense.”

“Excuse me?”

“You heard me. Besides, you’re being utterly wretched. You killed a destructor and yet, you go on and on about supporting gays. What is your problem?”

“Nothing! Or is that bigotry brain of yours so damn full of nonsense to even know what you’re doing.”

Melissa gasped and placed a hand on her chest. “I’m offended! You talk that way to one of God’s most loved children?”

“More like the most spoiled brat.”

“Oh. Maybe you’re just jealous that I got more purity than you. Is the brightest light that outshines that hair of yours.”

“Shut up!”

“Anyway. I’m just wasting time here. How about I dispose you of your ‘gayness?’”

Melissa rushed forward and Palette gasped. She pulled out her feather quill and quickly drew a circle, creating a shield, blocking Melissa. Ellen then quickly put Palette down and rushed forward with a sword in her hand. Melissa dodges and lunged to stab Ellen, but she pivoted her feet, causing her to slide out of the sword’s way.

Ellen’s hand glowed and she blasted a beam of light at Melissa, blowing her off the room and onto the wall of a building, causing her to fall.

Ellen quickly rushed to Palette and picked her up, sprouting her wings and flying to the sky so she can get away from Melissa.

Melissa just groaned and wiped the blood off her nose. She only growled more as she got up weakly.

“I’ll get rid of them soon. For now. Where is that demon and his friends?”
