Description

I was commissioned to add some Imperial Guard themed "Power Armor", in the vein of the Dune 2 Heavy Troopers (I made a version of that first, top right). The Project grew from a simple armor and gun, to Medic/Officer/Commissar and Krieg versions.

40k fluff wise these are something like the reinforced Void Armor of 30k era and while 40k might not give Guard any Power Armor (differentiation of armies on the TT and what not) but some Guard Regiments probably got a few locked up in a closet for very special occasions.

In game I restricted them to Veterans/Stormtroopers, Officers and Commissars. Aint' no rookie whiteshield getting one of these.

The Krieg Power Armor was something I cooked up while working on the other armors, felt like Panzergrenadiers was a perfect fit for Krieg.

The Dune 2 Heavy Troopers had those oversized vulcan gusn too and a underslung 40mm grenade launcher that got combined with the Rotor Cannon.

(Pixels might be a bit wonk due to compression/resizing - the origibnals are 8-bit, 256-colors limited palette and much smaller).
