Kronos — Description

Son of Uranus and Gaia.
Roman Equivalent: Saturn.
Egyptian Equivalent Unofficial: Apophis.
Egyptian Equivalent: Geb.
Norse Equivalent: Surt.
Titan of Time especially when seen in its Destructive aspect, the impregnable Time that rules the Destinies and can Devour everything and King of the Titans.
The youngest of the Titans, Kronos was usually represented with a harp, scythe or sickle, with which he would have castrated and deposed Uranus, his father.
After castrating Uranus, he received a prophecy that said that one of his sons would defeat him, fearing such fact Kronos began to swallow his children at birth, with the exception of Zeus, who was saved by his mother Rhea.
With Rhea he fathered: Hestia, Demeter, Hera, Hades, Poseidon and Zeus.
With the Nymph Filira he fathered: Chiron, Aphros and Bythos.
