EREBUS — Description

Son of Khaos.
Brother of Nyx, Gaia and Tartarus.
Consort of Nyx.
Roman Equivalent: Scotus.
Egyptian Equivalent: Kek.
Norse Equivalent: Hoder.
God who represents the embodiment of Darkness.
He has his domains demarcated by his dark and lifeless cloaks, dominating the regions of space known as "Void" just above the nocturnal cloaks of his sister Nyx, the personification of night.
Erebus, together with his twin sister, Nyx, were born from divisions in the same way that unicellular beings reproduce; from parts of Chaos, Erebus and Nyx happen to be the oldest immortals in the universe, right after their father.
Like his sister, he was capable of taking away the immortality of the gods. Erebus is the universe itself, lord of the cosmos and black holes. Today, however, he is a forgotten power. He is imprisoned in Tartarus. In the past, he intended to free, alone, the titans imprisoned by the Olympians shortly after the Titanomachy, however he fell into an ambush set up by his sister. Zeus, Hades and Nyx, fearful of the power of the great primordial god and the possible return of the titans, prevented him; the three, united, each using their unique powers, threw Erebus into the infernal river Aqueronte, the river of death. Afterwards, they sent the weakened body of the enemy to Tartarus, the only prison capable of stopping him.
With Nyx he spawned: Ether, Hemera and Hespera.
