I've never done this before so this might not be the best critique but here I go. *ahem* I gotta say that you captured the sunset beautifully as it is in just the right place to reflect magnificently off the water and make the island seem like a silhouette. The sky, clouds, water and the island all look wonderful in this picture. This is a great picture and you definitely captured something wonderful. (Didn't know I had to type one hundred words so this is just to give me the amount of words I need to submit this critique, sorry.)

I've been looking through your stuff, and I love how you can add feeling into simple, yet beautiful photographs. And I found a comment saying you are self-taught, so this is really impressive! I could've sworn you studied hella lots on photography. xD I'm self taught too. I self teach myself with mostly everything. lol

I am self taught...well up until January of this year. I am in a photography class in college. It's not something I would recommend if you are already somewhat established and you don't like being told what to shoot. I like Deviantart because I have the liberty to shoot what I feel is good, and I have far more freedom to do with my work as I please. When you're self taught first, there's a trial and error aspect that you cannot match any other way. Learning from what you have done that was wrong in the past with no prior knowledge is a nice thing to have later on. Thank you!

Supposedly I have a good eye for photography. My father did dark room photography and my mom was really into arts all her life. So I guess I get it in multiple ways. My family for the most part was artistic. So I assume that it is my turn now. Needless to say with the internet and what you can do with it, I am the most recognized person in my whole family artistically. Their mediums aren't quite as suited for DA. With exception to my older sister, I am the only one that works with digital anything, so I have an advantage there immediately.
It takes a lot of editing to get my photographs. My camera is getting older and the sensor inside it is only going to get worse. Plus if you look online at reviews, I got a camera that was 'mediocre'. I have to edit a lot of noise out of my photos because that's just something that comes with the camera. I love the camera though and will use it as long as I can!!! Thank you!

I am phasing out the Deviantart prints because I am going to be doing prints myself. I can hold contests, print on other mediums, do it cheaper, sign them for you guys, and have much more control over everything. So if you want a print of it, let me know and I will order it to your choice of size, framed or not frames, etc. I have printed this one a couple of times now and each print is just amazing.
