On the top right of the page below your username and right from the +watch button, there's the "give" button with a little present symbol!
If you are on someones page, just click there and go to "give llama" in the drop down menu: done!

Oh and I started without points either, but through commissions I quickly got a bunch! Or check out dAhub.deviantart.com (i hope i typed that right)
