I am honored being called "master of eyes" haha.
I am sorry for your wasted portrait... Turn it into an instructive advantage...
What happens to my "eyes" when I did them wrong : someone else tells me. Really, it can take a long time to see the mistake by myself.
Besides, I meant "the right eyes" in an ambiguous way. The drawing of the eyes indeed : nice! But in general I have the impression that you are watching the right way (even watching a photo). That's a fundamental talent, isn't it.

Like your statement about “watching the right way” - not sure exactly what that means, but it sure seems worth some further considerations..
I do, however, envy those artists which are able to sort of get beyond the mere likelyness of a person, and capture whats going on below the surface..

Thank you, Walter! You’re most kind ! Actually, after I made this scan, I put Watercolor on the drawing, with rather disastrous consequence - chose the wrong colors and overdid the contrast..May try to mend it, but it’s probably better to make another one 🤔..It annoyes me a bit, as always, when I mess up an otherwise promising study..oh well - back on the horse again!
Anyway, as a master of eyes, your comment was most welcome, as it seems to me that the eyes are everything in a portrait..You If you don’t have the eyes, you ain’t got nothing?
