Wow. Usually I use one point perspectives for drawing side views of cars. I never knew it could work well with buildings.

Thanks! I used 1-point here cause it was quick! It usually works better for interior views.
I'll post one that I drew for a cafe we did inside a horse race track bleachers.
The trouble with 1-points is that both sides of the image is distorted...
1-points tend to have a very narrow "cone-of-vision"! But it's quick!

Mostly the New "Mega-Churches"! They are mainly "Performance Auditoriums"!
If you want different? Google "The Christal Cathedral"! A "Wowie-Zowie" All-Glass
and Steel Modern Church! Aka, Garden Grove Community Church, Southern California....
It was Designed by the Late "Philip Johnson", built in 1979.....

The Christal Cathedral is fantastic!giant and incredible!it's the las vegas of the churchs!

That's a very good way to put it! "Las Vagas of Churches"! I love it!
It's very nice to be inside it! It's very bright and airy! Been there many times.
If you think about it; It's the same thing as the Mason's did with the Great Cathedrals
of Europe! They were the stuff of "High-Tech" of their time! Just like Now, the point was
and is to span great distances with as little material as possible! Pierce the walls
with glass! It's the same with the Modern "Christal Cathedral"! See what I mean?
Another great design is the "Cadet Chapel" at the "United States Air force Academy" in
Colorado Springs, Colorado! Built in 1959 or 1960 or so! It has a "Drop-Dead"
gorgeous interior! It's my favorite! It's cool exterior looks very nice against the
mighty Rocky Mountain Range in the background, as seen from the interstate 25 highway!
Designed by Skidmore-Oweings & Marrel's "Gordon Bunshaft". It's at the center of the
main campus and serves as the "Focal-Point" for the Complex! All of it's details and materials
are similar to that of Aircraft. It possesses a "soaring-effect" as you look at it! Or there's
the "Thorn Crown Chapel" Designed by "Fay Jones" (Who was a Frank Lloyd Wright student)
Located in Fayetteville Arkansas! Built in the early 1980's. It's small but beautiful!
It is sited in a wooded forest and is built out of wood and glass. "flat-out-gorgeous"!

Cadet Chapel is really nice,great design and inside is enormous!
Thorn Crown Chapel is little but really wonderful!
and frank lloyd is the man that has done the Guggenheim Museum,a great museum(i've seen a movie where there are some scenes inside this museum)!

it look so real that it kinda hurt my

the movie is -the international-with clive owen(pretty real),but there is one other movie,don't remember the name!here in italy churchs are all classic style(Renaissance ,i think),we haven't nothing similar to Cadet Chapel ,i think that should be considered out of style here, too Futurist!

Oh, man! That shocked me when I first saw it! I thought; "What the hell"?
"How could they let them do that in this ICON"? They faked me out good!
That's weird about how "They" would think that it's too "futurist"....
Because the Modern Movement originally came from Europe! Allot of times,
an old building can make a modern building look good! And the other way around!
Maybe your area doesn't need any more churches! It makes no sense to design
and build a new building to look old! Except at "Disneyland"! Remember,
that all those wonderful old Churches were new at one time! Sorta.....

I live near Seattle here in Washington State, and there's allot
more people than that! It's getting too crowded near the big City!
We must preserve the fine old Churches! Just don't copy them!

I didn't know that! I've only been here 3 and a half years.
I moved from Southern California to Lake Stevens Washington,
about 40 north of Seattle! It rains allot here. I love it.
I still have lots to discover here! So far, one of the most
"Wowie-Zowie" things I got to see here was at the SeaTac Airport
where there is a Museum of Flight that has the most beautiful
object ever conceived, designed, and built by Man! It's a
fully intact Concord! I got to touch it! They let you walk
through it! I consider it to be the "Holy Grail" of aircraft!
I never got to fly in one! Damn! It's the only one on the west
coast! The Boeing Aircraft factory is fantastic too where we got
to see them assembling the new 777 Dream liner.........cool!

very nice, i live near -malpensa airport -the most big in italy,and there is a little airport in my town called -augusta-and i've seen a lot of airshows done here,with a lot of wonderful airs:harrier,tornado,f-16,mirage,mig27 and the -pattuglia acrobatica nazionale-
777 Dreamliner boening is awesome!have you seen the Airbus A380 ,too big!

Oh yes I have! AirBus "beat-out" the 777 dreamliner due to a major strike
the workers did! Because of that, the damn thing is still not finished!
Someone once said that the modern jet airliner is the "Cathedral" of
modern-times, due to their high-tech complexities! As the Cathedral's were.
I also saw an SR-71 (blackbird) here! Beautiful design! Fastest object on earth.

Someday I'm going to travel to Italy to see the great Architecture!
A lot of great modern design work comes from Italy! Furniture, cars,
firearms, various objects, art, you name it! I own Italian furniture
and a couple of "Benelli" High-tech semi-auto shotguns!

in architects circles! I love his designs! It would fun to work for him!
I also own a Modern "Colt" 45 cal. semi-auto 1911 pistol. Also a "Smith & Wesson"
magnum 460 Modern 5-shot revolver! It could "Take-down a Grizzly Bare! There are several
around here! Just in case! I've heard "Horror Stories" about them! And of course,
I had to have the famous "Desert Eagle" XIX .44 magnum semi-auto pistol! Oooh, lets not
forget the "Browning" 12 ga. over-&-under dbl. barrel "Classic Trap" shotgun!

I take it that you don't like "semi-auto" pistols? I can't say I blame you! They are
Dangerous because it's hard to tell if a round is chambered or not! And mostly,
they are prone to jamming, under certain conditions! While a Revolver has none
of those problems! But I just love the "Timeless-Classic" and yet Modern-looking
45 1911 pistol! They are more complex than a "Revolver"! That S&W 460 weighs 67 oz.
EMPTY! It's funny, I've never fired anything other than a "Pellet Air-Rifle"!
I just collect! Also that "Desert Eagle" would be scary as hell to fire! I've watched them
fire those on U-Tube, and they can barely hold-on to the damn thing! And the muzzle
flash alone, scares the piss out of me! Google "Desert Eagle 50", and you'll see!
Besides, even with ear-protection, firing Guns can screw-up ones hearing! I play
the Piano, and love music, and I don't want to change that! I look at Guns as Art!
It's enough just to own them! Silly, I know! "But, there it is"!
Yeah, the Grizzly is not only BIG, their also aggressive, mean and unpredictable!
The common Black Bear, there's no worries! They have those here too!
OH, I really prefer Rifles! I own a few! Like my "Bushmaster" .50 cal. bolt-action
"sniper Rifle"! I'll never fire that one! It's so heavy, it's on a bi-pod!
but it looks cool in my display-case........

yes,i know about collection and look at Guns as Art,it's ok, but i was only said that in italy there is a little different culture about guns,nobody usually as got a -carrying weapons- is very difficut know someone that collect gun or have a gun for self-defence(with my english is very difficult say that!)

I guess because of the "Wild West" thing! I get that! However
I refuse to carry any weapons! Too dangerous! I'd rather
run away. And my collection is locked-away in my big

Yes, I mostly use 2-point also! Sometime a 1-point is good enough depending on the
view that you want! It's done like a 2-point except it's easier! They show less but
they are faster. I had very little time to do this one, so I did the 1-point!
The 1-Points are mostly suited for interior views. Try to "Picture" an Interior corridor...
The 1-point "set-up" has a horizon line, and just one vanishing point (near the middle),
but one object "plane" is parallel to the "picture-Plane", where a 2-point has an objects "planes"
at two angles to the "Picture-Plane"....The problem with a 1-point perspective is that there
are "Distortions" on either side of the image! "If any of this makes sense".....

Welcome! It's kinda hard to explain in just words. I need to show you with
a sketch! Very tough to do here!
A typical 2 or 1-Point perspective that I use, is called: "the common office method".
There is also one called: "The perspective plan method"! But I hate it! Too confusing!
To do an "Accurate" perspective, one needs a "Floor Plan", and a couple of "Elevations"
of the same scale! I wish I could show you, but I don't know how! Anyway, all this
assumes that you are looking with one eye, standing, looking straight at the horizon...
Kinda like what a Camera does! At times, one needs to "fudge" things to make the picture
look right or good! God! It's frustrating to NOT be there with you to show you on paper!
Once you see.......it's easy! I guess I could Post something that I did, that has all my
working "construction lines" on it! I think you'd "get-it!
