Prehistoric Monster — Description
Last prehistoric Battlemon (for now)! And no, this one is not a remake, it's an entirely design~!
I have wanted a Steel-type pseudo-legendary based on a T-rex (no, not that Godzilla expy Tyranitar - an ACTUAL FREAKING JURASSIC-PARK-STYLE T-REX) for a *while*. It was harder to implement it than I thought, though, I made a really early and unspeakably awful draft way back when that has since been lost. As things got far busier since that time, I failed to revisit the concept until I looked back at the prehistoric fakes I've posted recently and thought about redoing it from scratch. The Dragon type came from the "Dinosaurs are Dragons" trope obviously, and as for the Steel-type, I initially based the guys on mechas, but for this version I remembered reading somewhere about T-rex's jaws being likened to a bear trap, so I decided to give them big bear-trap chompers of doom. I really like the end results, I think I'll use the big one as the main Pokemon for the leader of Team Past - Whoops, spoilers!

Based on Dilong, Dryptosaurus, and Tyrannosaurus. Also takes some inspiration from Yoshi from Super Mario Bros, armored beasts of battle, and bear traps.

246 - INFYREX (Infant+Tyrannosaurus rex)
- Dragon
- Brazen Pokémon
- 2'8"/27 lbs
- Ability: Guts (Anger Point)
DAY: This razor-toothed creature always attacks on sight. It will even take on foes larger than itself.
NIGHT: It is notoriously foul-tempered, and its first reaction to being threatened or handled is to bite viciously.

247 - AXELYREX (Acceleration+Tyrannosaurus rex)
- Dragon/Steel
- Evolves from INFYREX at level 25
- Savage Pokémon
- 6'8"/245 lbs
- Ability: Hustle (Tangled Feet)
DAY: AXELYREX's long legs allow it to chase down prey easily. It will then dispatch it with its claws and teeth, which can easily splinter bone.
NIGHT: They hunt in large groups, overwhelming victims through strength in numbers. However, they often quarrel over choice cuts of the carcass.

248 - MONSTYREX (Monster+Tyrannosaurus rex)
- Dragon/Steel
- Evolves from AXELYREX at level 60
- Terrifying Pokémon
- 15'/475 lbs
- Ability: Intimidate (Hyper Cutter)
DAY: Only one MONSTYREX can lead its pack of AXELYREX and INFYREX. Rivals will fight each other ferociously using their lethal teeth, which is why many older MONSTYREX have impressive battle scars.
NIGHT: This mighty Pokemon combines devastating speed and power with teeth as hard as diamond and jaws which can destroy tanks with one bite. An apex predator, its Roar alone stirs terror in everyone who hears it.
