Shadow (Twisted Metal) — Description

Shadow first appears in Twisted Metal 2: World Tour, driven by Mortimer who was hired to take revenge on Calypso (his clients of course tagged along peacefully in the back). Mortimer is quite the odd fellow, sort of like the Tall Man from Phantasm- he's twice the height of every contestant in the game! Shadow would later then be driven by Raven in TM: Black, and then head back to Mortimer in Head-On and Small Brawl (albeit a bit shorter).

The main theme of Shadow is vengeance, and every contestant who has driven Shadow so far, has gotten their wish.

Shadow's special attack has remained the same through every incarnation he's appeared in. Its a sort of remote bomb that you have to detonate once you fire. There are slight variations of it, but for the most part it's something that flies out of the hearse ( be it a shadow or some purple entity shown here). In Black, Shadow has a secret attack that is some sort of turret gun- Raven flies out of it and fires on the nearest enemy (a glitch of this though is that she sometimes flies out naked). Edit: In Twisted Metal 2, the soul shadow does 2x more damage on inclines for some odd reason, forgot about that.

Overall I rather like this vehicle. Out of most of the medium armored cars, I go to this one in particular. Why? Well because it's a hearse and I like hearses. The other reason is that Shadow has great armor, speed, and a powerful attack for a middle class vehicle, and it's quite satisfying getting a direct hit with the Soul Shadow- especially in Twisted Metal 2 when you can fire it through walls.
