"Police sirens, followed by whooshing energy sounds."
- Transformation announcement
- Lore Story:
In the year 2084, the city of Technovalley, along with Detroit, has become the world's leading manufacture city, when it comes to robots… Robots with human like emotions, and are given lawful rights, just like humans.
But there are still those humans, and robots, who believe that the other should have more rights than the other, and have therefore turned to a life of crime.
For those who can't accept humans and robots as equals, there is the Vector Cops. A special police force, with special experience in dealing with both criminal humans and robots. And their main asset, are the Power Rangers Vector Cops, bringing order to a high-tech world of machine related crimes.
(These Rangers, just like the S.P.D. Rangers, don't hide their identities from the public, since they are officers of the law.)

- Character Story:
Kevin Watson is the brains of the Vector Cops Rangers. He was the best in the classroom, when it came to science… Both in grade school, and at the Vector Cops Academy.

What made him decide to become a cop, was the day when his university's science fair was attacked by criminal robots, who meant that human science only leads to more ways for humans to control robots, and that robots should be allowed to progress through their own science. Kevin tried to reason with the robots, by explaining to them that human science is nowadays meant to find ways of bringing humans and robots closer together, in friendship… But the criminal robots wouldn't listen, and destroyed a little boy's science project. This left Kevin shattered, seeing the little boy cry, that he used one of his own creations… A Sonic Mine… To knock out the robots, long enough for the Vector Cops forces to arrive and detain them. After that, Kevin vowed to not let another possible future scientist, like that little kid, to have their dreams shattered in front of their eyes. So he joined the Vector Cops Academy, and later became the Vector Cops Green Ranger.

As the Green Ranger, Kevin is the most analytical of the team. He believes that science and logical thinking always holds the key to any solution. But when it turns out that science can't solve everything, his fellow Ranger, Drew, has shown Kevin how to think outside of the box of logic, and even if it is not his regular comfort zone, he have had to admit, that it does have its advantages, at times.
