"Police sirens, followed by whooshing energy sounds."
- Transformation announcement
- Lore Story:
In the year 2084, the city of Technovalley, along with Detroit, has become the world's leading manufacture city, when it comes to robots… Robots with human like emotions, and are given lawful rights, just like humans.
But there are still those humans, and robots, who believe that the other should have more rights than the other, and have therefore turned to a life of crime.
For those who can't accept humans and robots as equals, there is the Vector Cops. A special police force, with special experience in dealing with both criminal humans and robots. And their main asset, are the Power Rangers Vector Cops, bringing order to a high-tech world of machine related crimes.
(These Rangers, just like the S.P.D. Rangers, don't hide their identities from the public, since they are officers of the law.)

- Character Story:
Zack Roberts is the younger brother of Rose, the Vector Cops Red Ranger, and thereby is an android, just like her. He was built two years ago, but unlike Rose, who was built 20 years ago, and have been gradually upgraded from a kid like state, to a young adult, Zack was built from scratch as a young adult, appearing to be the age of 20. And because of this, he hasn't had the chance to experience any real human like childhood, which has lead to him being a bit immature, when compared to his older sister.

Zack has a playful and joking side, and a rather vivid imagination. This also makes him a tad naive at times, which is shown, when criminal robots have managed to trick him into helping them in their crimes. But he always manages to learn from his mistakes, and with the help of his sister, and his friends, he learns to better control his childlike qualities.

He joined the Vector Cops, when he heard that his sister Rose had become the Red Ranger, and he wanted to show her that he could be a good cop too. Even though he did mostly make a mess of his first attempt to prove himself worthy, Commander Surge saw that the young android did have potential, and so he let Zack join the Vector Cops Academy, where Rose and the other Rangers served as his personal mentors. And eventually, Zack's dream came true, and he became the team's Sixth Ranger… The Patrol Ranger.

As the Patrol Ranger, Zack is the patrolling motorcycle officer of the team. His childlike lust for adventure means that he is constantly on the look-out for any form of trouble that might strike, and that is a good quality in a patrolling officer. He sometimes lets his lust for action get the better of him, so he often rushes in on the scene, when the others had already told him to stay put, until they arrive. But sometimes, this undisciplined behaviour has saved the day, when the other Rangers have been for unplanned reasons delayed. Meaning, it can sometimes be good, to have a childlike mind on the team.
