Unstable Genetics — Description
Arie’s nose twitched uncomfortably, her head was spinning, and the room was to hot. Hand reaching up to scratch her nose she stopped, something, sticky was on her face. Groping in the darkness, she fumbled for her phone. Night stand? No, cursing she swept the floor but besides a set of headphones that led to nothing. Damn, where was it?
Irritated she began throwing the blankets back. A low thudding sound of a blunt object striking the floor told her all she needed to know. Muttering darkly she located the low blinking light and thumbed the screen to on. The bright light from the screen caused her eyes to sting, throwing up a hand to block the light she stopped. There was something on her fur – dark almost black in the light.

Angling her screen she looked closer, no not black, red.

Her head was throbbing, the light only making the pain worse. Then she felt it, something warm had just drippled onto her chest. Looking down she angled her phone, there several red droplets had just pelted her left breast.

‘Oh no.’

Flicking the camera over to face her Arie almost dropped her phone. Her breath coming fast and hard her gaze flicked to the door, slightly ajar. In a single motion she flipped the covers off her figure and was across the room in a heartbeat. Closing the door she worked the lock, reassured by the light click of the bolt turning. Only when she knew her father was not going to be bursting in on her as he had a bad habit of doing.

Back against the door she reached up and gingerly touched her face and checked her fingers. Red smeared the tips, that was only thing that kept Arie from clamping her hand over her mouth. Brining her phone back up she surveyed the damage and let out a cry of alarm!

Blood splattered her face, her nose and chin were a mess, and it had not stopped there – it had run down to her front as well.

‘No! No – No Nooo!’ She whimpered, her hand slapping at her face trying to brush the half congealed blood away. This only caused a fresh flow to run down from her nostrils. ‘Not again!’

Pushing herself off from the door she ran to her laptop and flipped it open and ran through a very long string of random numbers and letters. From there she started sifting through a series of files from her desktop. Another layer of precaution she had put into place, just in case her father attempted a look at her computer.

Several random file mazes later she pulled up the one she wanted, a innocuous little thing titled: Hard Core Tiger Porn Dancers – The Revenge! She figured that if her dad ever managed to randomly stumble across the file, this would be enough to deter any attempt to access the file.

All that was a front though, well, most of it was a front she had thrown in a few pictures of a stage dance with the beasty beauties that had been performing with Gazelle. A faint smile touched her lips as her gaze lingered over them a little longer than she had planned. Shaking her head she turned her attention back to the task at hand and pulling up the program just as she had been show.

For a second her screen went black, nothing happened. Then with a flicker a shadowy figured appeared on the other side. ‘You are early.’

Without preamble, Arie leaned in close to her web camera. ‘It’s happening again – And it’s getting worse.’

‘So I see.’

‘Well!’ Arie demanded as she scowled at he mammal on the other side of the screen. ‘Do you need more blood – because its covering my sheets! And you can have more.’

For the longest time the figure was quiet. When he spoke it was with a forced calm, though he looked far from happy.

‘No. No, blood samples will no longer suffice.’ His voice was neutral. ‘There are several genetic, anomalies, in your genome.’

‘What is that supposed to mean!’

‘Your genetics are destabilizing.’ The voice came back, neutral but firm. ‘Without corrective gene therapy treatment you will likely die.’

Arie did not remember sitting down. Her whole world had just gone blank, and a white noise was filling her ears. ‘You will likely die.’ Still ringing in her ears.

‘I…I…’ She looked to the screen. ‘What happens now?’

‘As I said, treatment.’ The figure’s paw moved forwards and began tapping

‘Tell me what to do.’

‘I’m sending you a file.’
