Description
Is never easy. And it doesn’t get any easier when you are a bunny/tiger hybrid that people either want to associate you with a conquest to be wooed, or a freak of nature that should be feared and shunned.
Aire has not had an easy life, first given to an orphanage by her mystery parents she was later transferred to a mental institution for experimentation to how a creature like her could exist. Traumatized and in need of serious care, she has had a very hard time ‘growing up’ as her body is aging at different rates all around her. Mixing tiger and bunny blood has also caused a wave of chemical imbalances in her brain, and her hormones are running circles around her faster than the eye can see. Half the time she just wants to run and hide under the bed, claw someone’s face, or be cuddled like an infant making her life even more so a challenge as she struggles to learn who she is, and what she will become...
...
Arie looked at herself in the mirror and still disliked what she saw looking back at her. A orange bunny with tiger stripes, a massive lower jaw that caused her teeth to protruded if she were not carful. Her massive nose stood out from her face, to feline to be anything related to a rabbits, and to complete the image her hair was an untamed shaggy mess. Despite her efforts to tame it, her fur always went crazy in what seemed to be a matter of hours.
Paws closing into fists she looked at the creature in the mirror, large green eyes, to sharp for a herbivore, and claws, claws that now dug into her oversized palms.
‘Your like some kind of orange deformed gorilla! Gorilla Girl! Gorilla Girl! Gorilla Girl’
The voices of the other kids still rang in her ears, though she was large for her size, Arie found that she was still held to the mandatory educational standards of Zootopa. And the kids there took great pleasure in taunting her, or trying to cause her to lash out with primal rage.
She had done so once before, and it had cost her. So she silently took their taunts and vented her wrath secretly before coming home. A sharp pain drew her attention back to the present, her claws, wicked things that would belong on a full grown tiger had nearly pierced her pads in her crushing grip.
Her eyes fixed lastly on the slip on tub top and shorts she wore. She hated them too. Cloths. She hated clothes above all else, why couldn’t they just let her run around in her fur? Instead she had to cram herself into outfit after outfit, each chafing against her fur and making her sweat.
Aire looked out the window longingly, she was going to be a women someday, or so her adoptee said. Not sure she liked the sound of that, Aire worked her way down the stairs, to begin another day.
