Stuart was at a convention. The events of the day went more or less as expected. A special dance party was held at night. It cost a little extra to attend but Stuart was willing to pay the price. The dance looked exciting and he did not want to miss it.
Even before Stuart entered, he could hear the music playing. Once he was inside, it seemed to echo all around him. He tried to pinpoint its source but it seemed to be playing in many different places at once.
His attention then turned to a girl about six or seven who was giving away glow sticks to anyone who wanted them. It was a mystery why someone that young was up so late. It was a bigger mystery how she was given some sort of official job. Despite his doubts, Stuart did not question it and went up to her to ask for a glow stick.
"How many do you want?" asked the girl.
"One of each color," answered Stuart.
The girl gave Stuart a pink glow stick, then a blue one, then a yellow one, and then finally a green one. He took the glow sticks and placed them between his fingers. As soon as he did the changes began.
The pink one caused his breasts to grow, his voice to raise in pitch, and feminine curves to appear on his body. The blue one caused all facial and body hair to disappear and his, or her, body to become fully female. The yellow caused Stuart to remember her life as a girl. The name Stacy entered her mind replacing the name she once had. Finally the green one caused Stacy to accept her new reality.
For a song or two, Stacy wondered if the changes were happening only to her or to others as well. She even wondered if the little girl was not who she appeared to be. These thoughts faded as she accepted her new normal. She returned to the girl to ask for more glow sticks.
The little girl acted as if she expected Stacy to return. Once again she gave her a pink one, a blue one, a yellow one, and a green one which she placed in her other hand.
"You are the queen of glow sticks!" declared Stacy.
The little girl smiled because it was something she already knew. With renewed energy, Stacy walked out to the center of the dance floor and danced to the music.
