For years, no one dared to take from the sorority house or harm any of its members. People had arguments with the sorority sisters occasionally, but no more than they would with anyone else. Even those who did not believe the rumors at all had enough sense to leave them alone. It was a place that simply felt unwelcoming to those who did not belong.
Rose set limits for who could be transformed, Pledges could only come from students at the college, only those who showed at least some interest in the sorority were eligible, twenty to thirty transformations per year was the strict upper limit, and fraternity members were immune (though they would occasionally take one of their pledges). After transforming an entire fraternity to create the sorority in the first place, she said she would never do anything like that again. Whether it was due to her desire to avoid detection or her last remaining grasp on morality was unclear, but Rose had set the rules in place and the girls at the sorority obeyed them.
Elijah belonged to a fraternity and thus had immunity. Most sorority girls knew he was mean but he had not bothered them so they did not bother him. That was about to change. Because no one dared take from the sorority house, he saw it as a challenge. He studied the house carefully and made plans on how to break inside.
Late one night, Elijah brought a ladder and climbed up to a second story window at the sorority house. Breaking the window was easy with the tools he brought with him. He entered the sorority house and found himself at the end of a long hallway. Although he expected to be in an empty room, it did not change his plans. It would be easy to get what he wanted.
Wasting no time, Elijah searched the house for valuable items, took them, and climbed back down as quickly as he had come. The next morning, Rose and the other girls discovered they had been robbed. There were some screams of anger followed by some tears as they realized their home was not as safe as they thought it was.
Using her magic, Rose quickly discovered Elijah was the one responsible for the robbery. She would not have hesitated to punish him if she did not feel the need to follow her own rules. He was safe for the moment. However, Rose knew those who got off on a technicality would find things quite different if that technically was removed.
Rose presented the evidence provided by magically hidden cameras to the rest of the sorority. Then they stormed the fraternity to which Elijah belonged and demanded he be removed. They agreed. Elijah left the fraternity and all the items he took were returned to the sorority. In addition, he also had to pay for the broken window. This was only done because not demanding payment would look too suspicious.
None of the girls at the sorority were going to press charges so Elijah thought his problems were over. He had no idea how wrong he was. As soon as he was alone, he found himself transported to the sorority house and surrounded by angry sorority girls and intense magical energy.
"Stealing from us was a big mistake," snapped Rose. "We need to make an example of you to make sure this does not happen again. All in favor of letting our newest pledge join the sorority raise your hand!"
While Rose spoke, Elijah felt the magical energy entering him and transforming him from the inside out. His genitals changed from male to female. All masculine features disappeared and were replaced by feminine ones. Breasts grew on her making her look like a young woman. Her hair grew out to her shoulders. The name Evelyn entered her mind replacing the name that had been there before.
Even her clothing changed. Evelyn found herself wearing a blouse, skirt, socks, and flats, Her legs were smooth and any remaining body hair was faint and hard to see. Seeing the changes happening, she broke down and cried. To her that was not the worst of it. When Rose called for a vote not one person raised her hand. Her main goal was to join the sorority but no one wanted her. She was truly on her own.
This was the toughest for her yet, but Rose insisted that even their rejects deserved to be treated like human beings. Otherwise they might as well be an unfair talent agency. Rose opened the door to the outside and told Evelyn to leave. She did.
Despite it being a sunny day earlier, it was raining. Evelyn did not understand it nor did she want to. She just wanted to leave as fast as she could go. Her fear combined with running too fast for conditions caused her to slip and fall. She literally found herself in the gutter.
Rose closed the door. Everyone at the sorority knew they would not see her again. Everyone got their stuff back and the window was magically repaired but no one celebrated. To give Evelyn a moment of respect, they would not have a party that night. Instead they would have a quiet night at home.
