Unstable... — Description
It was another sleepless night for Secret. Tears streaked her cheeks from a dream she couldn’t remember, and she stared up at the ceiling as if it would give her answers. It didn’t. Frustrated, she flung the blankets off her and padded down the hallway, snagging a hoodie and throwing it on before wrenching the door open and running outside.

She didn’t care that it was barely fifty degrees out and she was in boxer shorts and a tank top besides the hoodie. In fact, there was very few things she cared about at that moment. She managed to hop one fence before she couldn’t run any farther, collapsing in the grass sobbing.

It was eight minutes before Tru pressed his forehead against her back, inhaling deeply and wondering why his mom was out here so early and with no food for him. He listened to her cry and kept his head pressed against her. It was the first real comfort she had experienced in months.

She sat out there, her fingers and toes numb and the first rays of sunlight stretching out over them. She didn’t know what else to do at this point. She needed to get away, to start fresh somehow. She would make the necessary calls and leave the next day.

So, Secret’s going through a hard time in her life where everything has been building and building on her and she’s kept it bottled up and now it’s broken over the dam. She feels time away from SSS and her current life is what she needs, so Harley has arranged for her to stay in a rental lakehouse in an undisclosed area. A new head of staff will be arriving for SSS, and unfortunately, Secret did not take Tru with her.
