This picture needs a heartfelt poem to go with it, and I am ashamed that I can't think of one at the moment, so I went with this one. I was saving this lineart for something, and when I heard about poor *Wild-Hearts 's horse Pinky was diagnosed with Melenoma, I knew this is what it was meant for. I can't say I know how she feels, because no one can know exactly what she is going through right now, I can only imagine. My own TB gelding Zack is also a victim of skin cancer, but luckily he has shown no signs that the tumors bother him, so he will stay with us for however long he can, and I can only pray that that is the same case for Pinky, because her tumors are only on her tail. I called this deviation "Don't let go" Because if this lineart was a full-bodied one, I would imagine the girl wrapping her arms around the horses neck, and also to tell Alice to never give up hope. There is always hope.
I highly dislike the rain in this picture, because you can't see the teardrops by Alice's feet (yes she's crying) unless you download it, so here's a version without the rain [link] , and the barbed wire makes the pic a litte too scary, but overall I hope you like it Alice.

You are more than welcome in every way. I want to help in every way that I can. I want you to know that the world is not as grim as it appears to be, no need to be saying your good-byes anytime soon. I called up my vet, and he told me unless your vet has diagnosed that Pinky's case is bad, then you shouldn't have to worry. Skin cancer doesn't matastisize in horses as it does people, and horses only die of it if it affects their internal systems. In fact only one out of twelve horses die from their cancer. If Pinky only has the tumors on her tail, then you shouldn't worry. You should see my gelding zack. He has hundreds on his tail and everywhere else, but they don't bother him. We give him this medicine that I can't think of the name right now, but if you dissolve it into her grain, it should keep the tumors from spreading.

Yes, he's holding up though, and I'm thankful for that.
Well the drug that keeps the tumors at bay is called Cimetidine. You could go to an animal pharmacy to buy it, but it costs ten times as much and when you buy it as much as I have to, it gets really expensive really fast. If you go to any Wal-mart or normal drugstore, look at the Hearturn Relief pills and see if Cimetidine is the key ingredient. It should cost a ton less. I live in the US so I'm not quite sure if they have the same brands where you live, but I use the brand Equate, if you can't find that, then any brand that has 200mg doses will work.
Dissolve ten pills with hot water into her grain every day.

oh wow!ive never heard of it.
so i did some research and its the absolute BEST thing thats come up so far!
ive printed off some info from various websites and im going to show them to pinky's vet. before anyone knew about this cancer she was insured...not sure if you know anything about the insurance side - wheather they'll pay for the treatment or not?
i really hope that i can get some of this stuff...you will be to thank if i do....and i wont be able to thank you enough 
but hmm...you said about buying the heartburn pills, is that what you do? and does it still work?

If you do an operation on her tumors, the insurance should pay for most of it, but they might not pay for the cimetidine unless you buy it at a animal pharmacy.
And you should be excited, everything is going to be ok, I'm sure of it. You should be excited for Pinky
Yes, the Cimetidine in Heartburn pills is the exact same as the perscribed kind you get at the vet, only it should cost way less. All you have to do is look on the bottle for two things,
Cimetidine tablets, 200mg
if it says that, then it is just as strong as anything

ah ok, well i think is past the stage where it can be oparated on now because its gotten so bad
if you dont mind me asking, how bad is your horse with it? and did the pills make a difference?
i know that i just cant put all my hope in this because it says on alot of websites that there is a chance that it will not work...but im still praying, and im still bloody thankful that youve told me about this

gosh, i dont really know what to think, my mother has phoned the vets and hopefully they will call back tomorrow! and he'll be comming to have a look at pink! wish me luc hun, i just hope he says that i should go for it *crosses fingers*
(this is a little off topic* but he's comming to 'scan' my brothers horse quiddy for a foal too!
