Description
This was a part of my Animal Illusions series where I used a canon macro lens with the Canon 5D, animal figurines (mostly plastic or ceramic), and some sort of textile material (to use as an environment or background). This was meant to slightly fool the viewer from afar making it seem like these were photos of real animals in real environments. In this case, its a REAL monarch butterfly that I found one day laying dead beside my car. I used it and put it on a real leaf and set it on my green shirt as the environment.

Aww, thank you :3 glad you approve! Its funny actually because the colors are actually a little brighter or more contrasted than it is being presented here (stupid DA not being color management-friendly). Yes! Part of the illusion is knowing what is fake and what is real and it was an interesting test to see how people were looking at the series when it was all together next to eachother. I tried to put little giveaways here and there in the pictures. Thanks again!
