No effort was spent on title or background. That's why they both suck
Anyway, these are three of my original characters. DM, Joey and Celia. Yes, they are in a prison, you can tell by the jump suits and incredibly lame background.
Just did this for fun, it started off as a doodle i did on scrap paper in class, but I really liked it so I inked and coloured it. Traditional inking too! (I got a new pen!)

I actually like the background and characters facial expressions are awesome. Wondering what a kid is doing in prison when they should be in juvie but whatever. Jumpsuits look a little weird but awesome, if that makes sense. Like it lots.
And I only commented coz you said you wanted ppl to so feel privileged to have my comment.

Well, first off on the overall picture, it's really good. The orange against the dark background [as well as uniform-ish] give a really nice contrast. Also as for the title, I LOVE IT. So there.
The background is actully quite good, but the thing is it's the kind of a background you appriciate after /actully/ staring at it for a moment. It's a bit contrasting because unlike the eye-pleasing simple cartoon style chacaters, the background has so much detail! It's actully really good if you stop and look. I actully thought it just metal bars at first, and then the wall behind it, but then I noticed the corners where oddly round then realised how stupid I was. Oh well.
THE CHARRIES! Yes, those adorable people you have posted NOTHING about and yet keep putting artwork up and then wondering why no one gets it. STORY woman! Comon it's awesome stuff! XP OR are you still worrid about theft?
You know something? You should be alloud to comment WHILE looking at the picture. Oh well, Two windows solved my problem.
Something I notice is that there hair isn't very consistant. Joey and DM have awesome hair [seriously i lvoe that style] and .... *cheacks name* CELIA has more offical anime style. shiny.... you know what I mean. right?
Also, just as a inking problem Dingo's hair is covered at black at the top, and, is it jsut me or does that look frayed in areas? One of the downfalls of inking i suspect. Other than that, the lines look great. They have deapth where they should have and are awesome. still.
the only thing I just wonder about is wtf is with celias torso?
I understand that cuz she's little that it'd bundle up, but i think gravity would pull that bundle into a differenct shape. I dunno, just look weird. And the middle of DM's torso too. Like that one isn't as bad, but perhaps if you made it little less prominent? I dunno. Loser trying to be helpful here i suppose.

I did this pic mostly for my own amusement, but I have three reasons for not posting up my story concept.
1. Theft. Yes I am paranoid, but strange things happen on teh internetz.
2. I keep changing the story, I actually need to make a few big changes to what I've typed up.
3. I haven't finished typing it up.
I may post it eventually though...
Ackay. With Celia's hair I inked it on paper to make it seem manga-ish. Didn't change it later on.
DM's hair blob thing at the top WAS an inking mistake I couldn't be bothered fixing up, but the frayed-ness was sort of on purpose since he almost never brushes his hair.
Celia's torso isn't really visible behind the arms, but I'll assume you mean the body. Yeah it's meant to be bunched up, perhaps I should have used reference... dunno what I was thinking with the bunched up bit in DM's clothes.
Ok, enough replying, back to science HW.

Mm, yeah. Haha, Manifest would be cool... but yeah, I don't think anyone would buy it 
I used to think I'd make it into a book, but they way it starts in my head would work a lot better in a manga or movie. It's got lots of scene cuts and point of view switching that I think would just be confusing in a novel.
Lol copyrights. That depends if it gets published, and that's a pretty big 'if'.

Exactly! Ninjas and pirates don't match. That's what makes it interesting (in a sort of crossover way) 
Sort of like, novels are more open to the general public than graphic novels... blah, disregard that, I can't word it right >_> Yeah, but it's sort of told from three diff perspectives so it would work... i think.

Have you ever read "North Child" ? It's on my to-dolist but it's told in like 5 different perspectives. It can work, it just depends on how you set it out.
So, will akatsuki /be/ the pirates or what? el o el.
And you do see alot more novels than there graphic counterparts. but that's because writing is eaier than drawing [in my opinion. think about the time difference.]

I reckon that depends what you're good at. Drawing a picture is actually easier for me than writing. It's simpler to show someone something than to tell them what they're seeing (if that makes sense). For me anyway
