I've been wanting to draw them for quite some time, but usually shelved the project until a friend of mine on the Hungarian TF boards sent me some links to Beavis and Butt-head clips of Youtube. There was a particular episode where they kept on laughing on a fellow classmate's name, called "Butkiss"
Even in the first issue they appeared in, I always read the lines of the Battlechargers as if they were speaking in the style of Beavis and Butt-head, so I wonder why no-one so far drew them like this...
Naturally, Runabout is Butt-head as he's the more intelligent of the two (and that's not telling much), while Runamuck just has 'Beavis' written all over him, he's so crazy. I gotta draw him as the 'Great Cornholio' some day.
Hope you like it! The joke they are laughing at is old TF joke, but then, they are quite stupid.

yp, i found runabout and runamuck together on ebay for a bargain, i may get them, but im more concerned with repairing my wreckgar

they are really cool looking too, i lost the auction though sadly.... But I saw someone repaint the activator bummblebee for the first transformers movie like runamuck and i figured, since my bro has a ton of bummble bee, i could repaint one 2 of his deluxe like that, make it kind of a retro thing going on, i mean the cyberfire version allready has the red eyes and similar facial features

Hmm, never saw that toy, but have to look into that.
me, I got a spare Generations Tracks and Wheeljack, and will kitbash them into Universe Battlechargers. I am not happy with the TFCC versions (the heads don't even look like the G1 heads, not to mention the wings and ugly colors).

yeah the wings are rough looking colors, noticed that on a lot of those figures that the colors were off and they mess around with the heads too much, like Thunderwing, love the body but the head kills me, looks too much like TFA grimlock. he never had a pumkin mouth, he was more like bludgeon with the skull like face but thats hasbro for you

Thunderwing I can understand, since that's how his face looked in IDW comics - and this version is quite a lot based on that. His Marvel comic version was more human-like, with pointy teeth, and the G1 toy was pretty much an Oni (japanese ogre).
I don't like how the new battlechargers have such narrow faceplates that also leave their noses visible - the old cartoon/comic and the new IDW comic versions looked much better.

i have to agree, most of the IDW and cartoon versions look a whole lot better
and really? never seen IDW thunderwing before, but i did notice that Black shadow, T wing's redeco, has the origonal looking alternate mode since he's a copy of the new t wing, so i was impressed about that one
still nothing looks more dissapointing than the new bludgeon toy in my opinon, it just looks eh to me, though i do like Darkmount(straxus), even has hints of his origonal marvel comic number on his leg, so that was cool

Well, Bludgeon is more of a Movie toy then "Classics" (CHUGTHLU as I like to call it) - still, it's as good of a stand-in as we are gonna get anytime soon.
Funny how on the new Black Shadow, the head and the chest are new molds, just like on the old toy. For some reason, Japan wanted to portray the Mega-Pretenders as robots hiding smaller robots, not organic shells, hence the modifications to make them more mechanical.

i noticed that, clack shaodows mech detail on his cheast and the spy drone on he and T wing instead of the pretender, as well as T wing's more mechanical face than the humanoid face of the classic one
still those two look awsome to me, still i think it wouldve been cool to add the pretender bots inside of them but, the smaller deluxe class work though, i can actually afford both of them

I hope we get the two hoodlums re-released as some upgraded toys (Classics Universe or Animated) - let's face it, the 1986 toys sucked. And Cybertron Runabout fared little better, getting the body of the worst Armada mold ever, Sideswipe... (Runamuck must be laughing himself silly over this).
I have seen some nice customs of them made from Classics Bumblebees, but the car mode is too small.

yeah dude y I'm not big in to the animated toys I got a few universe and its sucks cuz most are the same thing like acidstorm n starscream or sideswipe n sunstreaker. No dout they'll do that to them.
The best one I got is the cyclonus.

Well, these two do have an almost Kenny-level habit of turning up alive again despite certain destruction last time. You can't keep a bad 'bot down!
Here's hoping they appear in TFA at some point.
