Bernadette crept up to the barn and slowly took a peek around the corner. Inside, the man she had spotted earlier in the day shambled across the hay-covered dirt in an oblivious stupor. She had no idea why so many people were acting so strangely today. First the hunter in the woods behind their farm, then the mail lady, then Randy down the street. Now some vagabond or homeless guy seeking refuge in their barn was acting all kooky too. She had a vague notion that the illicit meth labs she kept hearing about on the news at night were to blame. Meth was supposed to do strange things to people and she bet she was looking at a prime example ...
